From the letter of Blessed Elizabeth of the Holy Trinity.

To Abbé Beaubis, June 22, 1904.

Your Excellency,
does it not seem to you that for souls there is no distance, no separation? This is the fulfillment of Christ's prayer: “Father, may they be one.”1 It seems to me that the souls on earth and the blessed in heavenly light are so close to each other, for they are all united with the same and one God, with the same Father, who gives himself to some in faith and in mystery and nourishes others with his divine radiance..., but it is the same and we carry him within us. He inclines towards us with all his love, day and night, wants to share with us, to pour his divine life into us, to make us beings like him, who will radiate him everywhere. What power the apostle has over souls, who continually remains at the Source of living water! He can incessantly water his surroundings, without his soul ever remaining empty, because he receives from the Infinite.

I pray fervently for you, that God floods all the powers of your soul, that he grants you participation in all his Mystery, that everything in you may be divine and marked with his seal, that you may be another Christ, working for the glory of the Father.

You will surely pray for me as well. In the depths of my dear solitude of Carmel, I want to be an apostle with you, I want to work for the glory of God, and therefore I must be full of him, then I will be all-powerful. A single glance, a single desire will become an irresistible prayer that can achieve anything, for we almost bring God to God...
