And despite all this, you are speaking to me!

The well blossoms around the timber where the water is.
And that balm is precious in that it may refresh your feet.
Let me drink from you, give yourself to my soul, let it drink,
become water that delivers the message of your lips to me.

The fragrance of my bowl is so infused with your scent,
it becomes a memory of you and reminds me
of the balm of spikenard that cherishes your skin, and drinks from it
your sweet softness, which touches everything it encounters.

Your water and scent, oh Lord of the ways, I long,
shepherd, great farmer with an exhausted heart,
to see you, to touch you, I am fully enlightened

in the pastures of your divine words, when the day dawns.
I am a woman of sinful love, a fragrant woman…
You know it, Lord, and yet you speak with me!
