I cannot live without God, but I feel that God also cannot find happiness without me.

When I went out into the garden, I see how everything breathes with the joy of spring. The trees dressed in blossoms emit an intoxicating fragrance; everything quivers with joy, and the singing and chirping birds praise God and say to me: Rejoice and be glad, Sister Faustina, but in my soul, there is darkness and suffering. My soul is so very sensitive to the rustle of grace, it knows how to converse with everything that is created and surrounds me, and I know why God has beautified the earth so… But my heart cannot be cheered, for the Beloved has hidden from me, and I shall not rest until I find You… I cannot live without God, but I feel that God also cannot find happiness without me, even though He is absolutely sufficient to Himself…
