He wants you to come out of yourself every minute and leave all worries behind, so that you may retreat into this solitude that he has stirred up in the depths of your heart. He is still there, even when you don’t feel him; he waits for you and wants to achieve with you a "marvelous exchange," as we sing in the beautiful liturgy, the intimacy of the Bridegroom and the bride. He wants to free you from all your weaknesses, your mistakes, everything that weighs you down, through this continuous contact. Did he not say, "I did not come to judge, but to save"?
(Elizabeth of the Trinity, Letter 249)
