We love a certain piece of land as our own homeland.

Dear brother!

Accept once again a few lines from me as a sincere, fraternal greeting to everyone at your home and indeed to the whole dear distant homeland. Although I know that God is with us everywhere, that the whole earth is His, we necessarily have our roots like a tree in a certain place, we love a certain piece of land as our homeland, and the deeper our roots rest in it, the more securely the crown of our tree of life can spread over other lands. And I believe that the more we are able to yearn for the heavenly homeland and with greater enthusiasm sense how beautiful it is, the more fervently we cling with strong, pure, and manly love to our earthly home.
