Death, which is a harrowing moment, a moment of tearing apart the human essence, can, in the perspective of passing time, nonetheless become clearer and manifest as a point of the highest maturity of human life. It may be accompanied by the feeling that we have reached maturity, that our destiny is truly fulfilled, that we offer God a completed life as a sacrifice, which will – if He wills – open the gate to His eternity.
