Nothing should seem like an obstacle on your way to Him. Do not pay too much attention if you are enthusiastic or lacking courage. It is the law of exile to pass from one state to another in this way. Therefore, believe that He never changes, that He continues to lean towards you in His kindness, to take you and settle you in Himself. If despite all this, emptiness and sadness still weigh you down, unite this anguish with the Master's anguish in the Garden of Olives, when He said to the Father: "If it is possible, let this cup pass from me."
