The path I walk is one I tread with gratitude and joy.

You must never doubt that the path on which I am led, I walk with gratitude and joy. My life thus far is filled with God's goodness, and above sin stands the forgiving love of the Crucified.
I give my deepest thanks for the people I have met, and I only wish that they never have to grieve over me, but that they too may always be aware of God's goodness and forgiveness with gratitude.
Forgive me for writing this. Please do not allow it to sadden or disturb you even for a moment, but may it fill you with joy! However, I wished I could say this one day, and I did not know to whom I could entrust it, so that it might be heard only with joy…
Now I genuinely wish you much external and internal peace from the heart. God protect you and us all, and grant us a happy reunion soon.
In gratitude and loyalty and in daily prayers for you, I think of you

Yours, D.
