Start with yourself.

In my youth, during that time when there were so many divisions around the world, I asked myself: Why are there so many disputes among people, even among Christians, and so much judgment? One day, I remember it clearly, I was watching the dim light at dusk on a late summer evening as the shadows fell over the landscape. At that moment, I said to myself: Start with yourself, decide not to make harsh judgments, try to understand others rather than to be understood, and you will find joy. I was about sixteen years old. That day I hoped that this decision would hold true forever.
