People do not know the Holy Spirit well enough, and therefore they call upon him little. The only way to truly pray to him is to surrender ourselves to him. He captivates us without saying so, leads us while we think we are going alone. He penetrates our lives and works within them as a mysterious force, even when we sometimes feel that our lives are passing in smallness, monotony, are tired, arid, and without joy. (...) Do not say that you are not progressing on the spiritual path because you do not notice that you are moving forward. Whether it is a dim light or a cold warmth – accept what the Holy Spirit sends. Accept his ways.
