The greatest miracle of creation

I admit that my soul is in a certain balance, that I do not intentionally offend God, but at the same time, I am horrified to realize that I am utterly incapable of loving more, and I am beginning to understand what the meaning of my smallness and misery is. … My misery attracts his power, my wounds call out to him mightily, in abundance he pours out his omnipotence upon my nothingness. This encounter of God's omnipotence with human nothingness is the greatest miracle of creation.
