Our sanctification does not depend on changing our jobs, but on doing for God what we usually do for ourselves. It is a shame to see so many people who elevate means for the purpose in God's service. They let themselves be forced into performing certain acts, but they do them imperfectly because they are driven by earthly intentions or selfish reasons.
I do not know a better way to God than this: do what your vocation or job demands of you day by day, but do not do it to please people; rather, do everything – as far as you are able – solely out of love for God.
