How good you are, God, who is always the same… You are still the one who will not break a bruised reed and will not quench a smoldering wick. Do you not do the same daily? Do you not call with the voice of your church, that we should return to you, repent, and be saved? To be not only freed from evil but also to become heirs of all glory and happiness, no matter how great our iniquities and how long our unfaithfulness? There is no such great sinner, no such hardened criminal, that you would not boldly offer paradise to, as you granted it to the good thief for the price of a moment of goodwill.
