How it would hurt me if you prayed without trusting!

Please forgive me. That will make you happy. If you plead for mercy of conversion for someone, I will love you for it, my dear daughter! Speak to me about it at midnight, lovingly, longing. I will press my ear to your lips and my heart to yours; but you will not know it. In the spirit of faith, however, you can trust that you will be heard. How it would pain me if you prayed without trust! Understand, I am here, listening to you.
