The more care you give to your body, the more needs you discover.

As an imperfect being, I perceive my sisters' constant lamentations over minor difficulties. If the affliction is truly severe, it will reveal itself and will be seen differently than through your complaints. Those who are genuinely unwell, to the point of having a real illness, should speak up and take what they deem necessary. For if you rid yourself of self-love, any comfort will cost you so much that you need not fear that you would be abusing it or that you would be complaining without cause. If a person does not rid themselves of the habit of speaking of it and lamenting everything – unless it is directed towards God – they will never stop. This body has one flaw – the more care it receives, the more needs it discovers.
