(anonymous prayer)
Thank You for my life, Lord,
for the blessed bright days.
And for those in which the storm blows,
thank You for all they have brought me.
Thank You for my life, Lord. For joy, I earnestly praise You,
You who pour it out mightily.
With Your generous hand, a piece of heaven
You share in the feeling of happiness.
For joy, I earnestly praise You.I am grateful for suffering.
Now, accept thanks from my heart
and give me strength when each day
I touch Your suffering.
For suffering, Lord, thanks. And for death, thanks, lifting
the burdens too heavy and the chains.
That gentle companion, a comforting watchman,
leads us home from the land of bondage.
For my death, I thank You.Thanks also for the judgment for my soul.
When I leave this earth,
I will not hesitate, though fear may crush me.
I praise You gratefully, Lord.
Thanks also for the judgment for my soul. And for Your fatherly love
without limits, I offer You praise
and like a child in trust
I now place myself in Your hands.
Thanks for Your fatherly love.
