Source of God's peace

To trust in God's mercy means to reconcile with one's own sinfulness – not with sin – and to accept it as one's spiritual state. The soul can become unsettled due to its sinfulness, supposedly. The source of its unrest is often not that it is sinful, but that it does not accept its true sinfulness. To reconcile with one's sinfulness in God's mercy means to open the source of God's peace.
