To endure even his silence.

Call upon God day and night, bother Him with persistent prayer, which is really just another expression of love. And this fidelity in love will sometimes have to endure His silence, without us ever doubting Him, just as we accept that our loved ones may sometimes be silent, and it never occurs to us to doubt them. (…) Teresa says: “If it seems to me that He forgets me, well, He has that freedom, because I no longer belong to myself, but to Him… He will tire of leaving me waiting sooner than I will tire of waiting for Him.” (…) How this trust moves me!
