Why not take with us what we love?

For me, prayer is primarily life. I cannot perceive God separately from all of creation because God is so alive and present in all of creation. Therefore, I would like to come to him in prayer with all creatures, not separating myself from them, when I bring them to him, so that he is not separated from everything he has created and loves with the love of the Creator, the love of the Father (…).
In prayer, we can spend all our time driving away thoughts of what we love, and still it does not succeed. So why not take from the very first minute with us what we love, so that the very love of God can purify it?
