Above all, trust in God's slow work.

What comes to my mind is this: above all, trust in the slow work of God. Naturally, we are often impatient to reach our goals right away. (…)
I think it is the same for you. Your thoughts are slowly maturing; let them grow and shape without haste. Do not try to "force" them, as if you could be the person that time (that is grace and the circumstances affecting your will) will make you tomorrow. Trust in our Lord that His hand is guiding you well through the darkness and the process of "becoming," and accept – out of love for Him – the anxiety of feeling uncertain and somewhat unfinished.
