There are many reasons why God shouldn't call me.
But don't worry. You are in good company:
Moses stuttered.
David's armor didn't fit.
Mark was rejected by Paul.
Timothy had stomach ulcers.
Hosea's wife was a prostitute.
The only education Amos had was a school in fig tree pruning.
Jacob was a liar.
David had love affairs.
Solomon was very wealthy.
Jesus was very poor.
Abraham was too old.
David was too young.
Peter was afraid of death.
Lazarus was dead.
John was too hard on himself.
Noemi was a widow.
Paul was a murderer
just like Moses.
Jonah ran away from God.
Miriam, Moses' sister, was a gossip.
Gideon and Thomas doubted.
Jeremiah acted like a fool,
had depression and suicidal thoughts.
Elijah suffered from burnout.
John the Baptist was a loudmouth and a rebel.
Martha was too anxious.
Mary might have been lazy.
Samson had long hair.
Noah was drunk.
Can you imagine how quickly Moses got angry?
And what about Paul or Peter?
But God doesn't require an interview.
He doesn't hire and fire like most employers,
because He is our Father, not an Employer.
