Your God saw your cross from eternity, contemplated it with divine wisdom, examined it with justice, and warmed it with mercy. He weighed it with both hands, to see if it might be a little heavier and larger. Then He blessed it, sanctified it with His name and grace, breathed His comfort into it, and looked once more at you and your determination. Thus your cross comes directly from heaven as a call from God and as a gift of His merciful love, so that you may become yourself and find your fulfillment in God.
