Could it be that even a monk, an adult person, needs a mother?

I noticed that among the brothers who are going through the desert at the New Dvůr monastery – which is a fruitful struggle – and who persevere in their decision to follow Christ, there is a remarkable flourishing of their Marian devotion. It seems to be a sign of their distant rebirth, a future finding of peace. The inner peace, which is a gift of Theotokos… does even a monk, an adult man, need a mother? And is not Theotokos the mother of the church?
