If he is a diligent and wise doctor who knows you well, then you must submit to his opinion. However, you must keep in mind that if God undermines our actions at one level, it is because He wants to elevate us to a higher level: it is always a challenge to rise above. You will have to enter a life in which you surrender to Him even more: this does not mean doing nothing, but rather establishing an order in your life. Of course, it should be flexible enough to accommodate your health condition and your duties: to dedicate yourself entirely to His church.
