O my Creator, I long for You. You understand me, my Lord. – Everything on earth seems to me a pale shadow, I thirst and yearn for You, even though You do so much for me, for You visit me in a special way, yet those visits do not soothe the wounds of my heart, but rather instill in me an ever greater longing for You, Lord, oh, take me to Yourself, Lord, if it is Your will. You know that I am dying and dying of longing for You, and I cannot die. Death, where are you? You draw me, Lord, into the abyss of Your divinity and hide behind darkness. My being is entirely immersed in You, yet I long to gaze upon You face to face. When will this begin for me?
