The father confessor set me adrift with full sails on the waves of trust and love that attracted me so strongly, but which I did not dare to sail upon. He told me that my mistakes do not trouble God, as his representative he tells me in his place that God is very pleased with me. Oh, how happy I was when I heard these words full of comfort! I had never heard that mistakes need not sadden God; this reassurance filled me with joy and enabled me to endure the exile of life patiently.
