The Olomouc exhibition John XXIII / John Paul II – Workers in the Lord's Vineyard is already complete. Starting from May 1st, you can view a rare exhibit here, the scapular of Saint John Paul II. It will be displayed in the crypt of St. Wenceslas Cathedral until May 27, 2014, after which it will return to Rome.
St. John Paul II wore the scapular depicting the Virgin Mary from his youth. He had it on during the moment when an assassination attempt was made on him on May 13, 1981. He did not allow it to be removed even in the hospital. The scapular was loaned by the Carmelite brothers from the parish of S. Maria Regina Mundi in Rome. (Photo: M. Kučera)
