When I am alone, as I am ashamed to admit, praying the rosary takes more effort than penitent practices… I feel that I pray it so poorly! I have to force myself to meditate on the mysteries of the rosary; I can't concentrate my thoughts… For a long time, I mourned this lack of piety, which surprised me, because I love the Holy Virgin so immensely that I should easily be able to say prayers in her praise that are so dear to her. But now I do not suffer as much; I am convinced that if the Queen of Heaven is my Mother, she is content with my good will.
