My child, know that the greatest obstacle to holiness is disgust and unwarranted restlessness, as it takes away your ability to practice virtues. All temptations combined should not disturb your inner peace for even a moment. Irritability and disgust are the fruits of your self-love. There is no need to be disgusted; rather, watch over that my love may prevail instead of your self-love. Therefore, trust, my child, you should not be disgusted; come to me for forgiveness, for I am always ready to forgive you. As many times as you ask me, so many times do you glorify my mercy.
