Since there has been one postulant in the house, I often have to think of our religious youth, of the remarkable journey to Mount Carmel. Each of these paths is remarkably guided. And the history of souls on Carmel is even more extraordinary. They are hidden deep in the Divine Heart. What sometimes seems to us to be incomprehensible on our journey remains only a fleeting glimpse of what is God's mystery until it reveals itself to us. The hope that everything will be clarified for us in the future is my joy. Faith in the mystery of the history of souls must strengthen us, even when what we see in ourselves and in others could discourage us.
Today is the feast of Saint Simon Stock. This morning during Mass we sang to him and then also the May song Flos Carmeli. There are so many promises in it!
