Eternal Father,
the light of faith nourishes the fire of love in the soul
and allows it to grow.
The soul cannot blaze with the fire of merciful love
unless the light reveals your tender love for us.
You, light, nourish and give growth to the fire in the soul,
just as wood nourishes a physical fire.
Light above all light!
Goodness above all goodness!
Wisdom above all wisdom!
Fire that surpasses every fire!
