Jesus may be in your soul, my daughter in Christ. (…) Since the immense gifts of God cannot fit or be contained anywhere else but in an empty and lonely heart, the Lord wants you, because He loves you, to be truly lonely, so that only He may accompany you. And it will be necessary for Your Dignity to strive to be satisfied only with Him, so that you may find all satisfaction in Him; for even if the soul were in heaven, if it does not conform its will to want it, it will not be satisfied; and thus it happens with God, even though God is always with us, when our hearts are occupied with something else and not alone.
