We live in a time when many ask: “But what is faith?” Faith is a completely simple trust in God; it is a flow of trust, constantly renewed throughout our lives. Every person can have doubts. There is nothing unsettling about that. We should mainly listen to Christ, who in the depths of our being quietly says: “Are you hesitant? Do not be troubled. Perhaps your faith is fragile, but the Holy Spirit is always with you.” Some have come to this surprising realization: God's love can grow even in a soul tormented by doubts.
